Robert Moffitt honored in special issue of Journal of Labor Economics

Robert Moffitt, Krieger-Eisenhower Professor of Economics at Johns Hopkins University and UKCPR research affiliate, was honored in April 2025 with a special issue of the Journal of Labor Economics dedicated to his research career. Robert’s research over the past five decades spans a broad cross-section of topics in labor economics, public economics, and econometrics. He has made important contributions across all these areas, but he is best known for his seminal research on transfer programs and female labor supply, and on the earnings instability of men over time. UKCPR director James Ziliak served as co-editor of the special issue, and Ziliak was also a co-author on a paper in the volume with UKCPR research affiliates Chris Bollinger and Charles Hokayem in collaboration with Sir Richard Blundell of University College London.
