As part of the US Collaborative of Poverty Centers, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Institute for Poverty Research and Howard University’s Center on Race and Wealth invite applications for the second annual Summer Dissertation Proposal Workshop. The workshop will be held at Howard University in Washington, DC, from May 20–26, 2018. The workshop is aimed at pre-proposal doctoral students in the social sciences from underrepresented racial and ethnic populations who are studying topics related to poverty or inequality in the United States. Funding for travel, meals, and lodging at Howard University (for students residing outside of the DC area) will be provided to 12 successful applicants. Applications are due January 31, 2018.
